Thanks for engaging with Elevate Porter County during Phase 2 (October 2025 - February 2026)! The project team led its second wave of public engagement activities to hear from residents, workers, and visitors across the county. Building on the momentum of Wave 1, this phase was designed to share back what we heard, presenting findings from the initial engagement period and the Conditions and Trends Report, while inviting the community to weigh in on draft recommendations shaped by that input.

Community Workshop: Charting Tomorrow Together
Join us for an interactive community workshop where we'll conduct a comprehensive "wellness check" on Porter County's most pressing challenges and brightest opportunities.
Porter County Fair
Join us on July 19 at the Porter County Fair! We’ll be inside the Commercial Building with a pop-up table waiting to hear from the community.
Chesterton’s European Market
Chesterton’s European Market is more than just a shopping destination—it’s a cherished tradition that brings together quality vendors, live entertainment, and a welcoming community atmosphere. We’ll be hosting a pop-up table on July 12 - come say hi!
Farmers Market on Madison
A fun-tastic, engaging market that all types of folks can enjoy. Featuring the best locally-sourced products and specialty goods, welcoming local farms, specialty food vendors, artists, creative handmade stuff, and more. The fun will run from 10:00 am to 3:00 pm.
Sunset Hill Biergarten
Porter County Parks & Recreation and BrewFest Partners present a traditional German-style Biergarten at Sunset Hill! Look no further for the perfect summer event - a night of drinking good beer with friends in a beautiful outdoor location.
Enjoy an evening beer from Munchen at this outdoor festival. The entire family is welcome! There is a playground near the Biergarten area, and there will be plenty of parking. Admission is free, but you can register in advance to secure a pass to this event and let us know you’re coming.
